What’s Included

Expecting & Empowered

“Birth is not just about having a baby; it’s about becoming a mother,” I explain to Dr. Susan Fox, functional medicine doctor and founder of Health Youniversity. Listen as we discuss childbirth as a profound identity shift that supports a vision of maternal care that centers the mother’s experience just as much as the baby’s arrival. When individuals feel supported, informed, and empowered, it can transform not only the birth experience but also postpartum recovery and long-term wellbeing. By approaching birth through both a clinical and nervous-system lens, I highlight how advocacy, education, and nervous system support can help families feel more confident, connected, and in control throughout their journey.

    About our Hypnobirthing

Many educators are trained to teach Hypnobirthing methods, but few have formal certification in clinical hypnosis itself.

In my classes, you'll discover the numerous benefits, including reduced fear, pain and anxiety, increased confidence, and a deep connection with your body's natural birthing instincts.

It’s not the method alone that makes Hypnobirthing effective — it’s understanding the techniques and the practice to empower parents to integrate, and use them consistently.

Our classes go beyond scripts and theory, helping you truly embody calm, focus, and confidence for birth.

FAQs

Is hypnobirthing only for unmedicated birth?

Not at all. Hypnobirthing supports all kinds of birth experiences. Whether you plan to labor without medication, use an epidural, induce labor, or have a planned cesarean birth, these tools can help you feel calmer, more informed, and more connected throughout the experience.

When should I take a class?

Most families begin classes during the second or early third trimester, but it’s never too early or too late to benefit from childbirth preparation and support.

What if I’m already feeling anxious about birth?

You are not alone. Many families come to hypnobirthing because they are feeling fearful or overwhelmed by birth preparation. Our classes are designed to help reduce fear through education, nervous system support, and compassionate guidance.

“The Birth With Ease online hypnobirthing course helped me feel so much calmer and more confident about birth. The techniques were simple, practical, and easy to practice at home. • Thank you! I feel certain that I had to draw on the universal feminine energy/power in order to make it through this birth experience. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, but also amazingly beautiful, surrounded by the women I love.

  • Overall I am so grateful we took the Hypnobirthing class. It gave me confidence in my body’s ability to birth and eliminated so much fear around pregnancy and birth. The meditation and breathing techniques also helped me cultivate a strong mindset going into it which made a such a positive difference.

  • The OR was cold and bright, but the team took really good care of me. They played one of Erica's hypno birthing music playlists over the speaker system to calm me and held my hand while they put the spinal in. At this point I was practicing lots of deep breathing to keep me calm and centered.

The hypnobirthing tools my husband and I learned allowed me to relax and labor at home for as long as I did. I successfully accomplished the main goals of my birth plan and could not have done it without the support of my husband, doula, and the incredible nursing staff who all helped me achieve a truly positive unmedicated birth experience.
